About Me

Hi. I’m Brian Keairns and this is my website.

I'm a parent, husband, technology person, writer and entrepreneur.

I'm the founder of CustomerVision Inc. which is the creator of web technologies for collaboration and social learning.

I was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on August 19, 1966 but I grew up in Sioux City, Iowa, were I lived until I was 29. My dad was a technology entrepreneur and that started my lifetime love/hate relationship with technology. I graduated with an English degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. After graduation I moved to Seattle were I worked for Microsoft for a few years in the early 90's before moving to Palo Alto were I started my first software company. At Microsoft I got the opportunity to meet Bill Gates and when I moved to Silicon Valley I got to work with and learn from Alan Cooper and his wife Sue who are pioneers and leaders in people centered technology design. I'm now back in Iowa, living in Des Moines near friends and family.
